The vocational training programme is comprised of a combination of school attendance and in-house training. You will be professionally supervised by our experts in the company.

As an apprentice you will immerse yourself in the versatile world of LEITNER electrical engineering. In our electrical assembly department, you will learn how to properly wire switch cabinets for ropeways, snow-making systems and wind turbines. In hardware planning, you can design electrical circuit diagrams and technical drawings as well as calculate specifications.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the electrical commissioning of our systems in various countries. In our software development department, you will also learn how to program the system controls and get to know the latest software solutions for our customers. After the four-year apprenticeship, a transfer and further development in the following departments is possible:
- Electrical assembly
- Hardware design
- Software design
- Commissioning
- Electrical Service

As an apprentice warehouse keeper, you are responsible for the organization and handling of all kinds of goods in our storage areas. You will receive deliveries of goods, check the quantity and any transport damage and ensure the corresponding material movements in our warehouse management software (SAP). You place the goods into stock and deliver them to the right place at the right time when ordered. For this we use utilities such as pallet trucks, forklifts and cranes. In our shipping department you will also learn how to pack and load our manufactured components for customers all over the world in a way that is suitable for transport. After the three-year apprenticeship, you can work in the following departments:
- Incoming goods
- Warehouse
- Internal transport
- Service warehouse
- Shipment

As a mechatronics apprentice, you build mechanical and electrical components for our production, which you combine into complex systems. Your tasks also include the commissioning of electrical machines and devices, as well as the maintenance and servicing of our company-specific systems.
After the two-year basic training, you can specialize in production engineering or automation for a period of 1.5 years. For all those who would like to expand their knowledge, there is the possibility of choosing an additional module (PLC technology or robotics) for further six months of apprenticeship. After the apprenticeship period, employment in the following areas is possible:
- In all production areas
- Chair assembly
- Terminal assembly
- Hood assembly
- Snow cannon assembly
- Electrical assembly
- In machine production

As a mechanical engineering apprentice, you will learn the basic skills of metalworking and experience the different areas of ropeway production. You will produce machine parts using the latest technologies, such as CNC machines and welding robots, and assemble modules and ropeway components. The basis for this is being able to read technical drawings. During your varied apprenticeship, you will also learn how to program our CNC milling and turning machines with CAD/CAM systems. Thanks to the versatile training, all paths in our production are open to you after the apprenticeship. For example, it is possible to be taken on in the following departments:

- Prototype construction
