The mountains between the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus house a ski area for which the LEITNER Group, together with LEITNER, PRINOTH and DEMACLENKO, provided ropeway systems, snowgroomers and artificial snow making systems in 2012. As well as the construction of the entire development structure and slopes, four LEITNER detachable gondola lifts have been built. The newly constructed 18 km slope has 230 outlets for 180 DEMACLENKO snow cannons, which are fed by three pump stations from a reservoir with a capacity of approx. 100,000 m3. Four PRINOTH snowgroomers ensure perfect slope conditions. The four gondola lifts from LEITNER, two Telemix and two 8-passenger gondola lifts are each equipped with one "BMW Individual for LEITNER" cabin.
The Ried downhill slope was built in 2011, a new 7-km long slope to complement the two slopes on the north side of the Kronplatz that are more suited to sport skiers. With the third 10-passenger gondola ropeway from LEITNER, there is now a direct link to the Percha train station in Pustertal, which ensures a reduction in traffic and CO2 emissions around Kronplatz. Together with the new slope going all the way down to the bottom of the ski station and the train connection to the slopes in Hochpustertal, it makes the whole ski area more attractive. In addition, 36 propeller cannons and 18 lances, as well as their infrastructure, were installed by DEMACLENKO to provide sufficient snow on the new slope as part of a turnkey project in a record time of five months. For optimum grooming, a new Leitwolf and a Beast from PRINOTH are used.
Quality and comfort play a crucial role for us as Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal Bergbahnen. This pretention finds expression in the products of LEITNER, PRINOTH and DEMACLENKO. The synergies within these companies and the motto “one mountain – one system” offer more efficiency and clear advantages for the operator particularly in the digital area. We use the digital resort management platform Skadii, which enables us to control ropeways, snow groomers and snowmaking systems at a glance.
