Innovation and efficiency are the key drivers behind LEITNER’s current projects in France and Eastern Europe. In addition to a prestigious first order in the skiresort of Gourette in the Pyrenees, the company is also implementing major projects in established winter sports destinations. The focus is on the smart and sustainable use of existing resources and the use of state-of-the-art and efficient ropeway technology.
LEITNER is setting new standards in the French skiing area Gourette:
GD10 “Cotch”: a 10-seater gondola lift with LEITNER DirectDrive and bike transport replaces a 6-seater chairlift.
24 Premium Cabins Diamond EVO offer modern comfort.
Capacity: up to 2,000 passengers per hour.
Transport direct to the Snowk’fé mountain restaurant at 1,610 metres.
LEITNER also relies on high-performance infrastructure in the La Forêt Blanche skiing area:
CD6“Homme de Pierre” replaces two existing lifts in Risoul.
Individual footrests and bike racks ensure maximum safety and year-round operation
Capacity: 2,400 passengers per hour.
Fast connection to the top station at 2,376 metres.
The new 4-seater chairlift “Gentianes” in Font Romeu offers even better safety and performance:
Fixed-grip system with KidStop.
638-metre in length.
Capacity: 2,000 passengers per hour.
LEITNER is also implementing innovative systems in Eastern Europe.
Poland: three new projects in 2024
CD6C “Doliny III” with weather bubbles, individual footrests, and premium seats

Wisla:
New inclined elevator to the ski jump.
Symphony 3S cabin with automatic level control.
300-metre route for up to 40 passengers.
Slovakia: modernisation in Bachledka Ski & Sun
CD6C “Franková” with LEITNER Direct Drive.
Capacity: 3,000 passengers per hour.
An additional nine cabins to increase the capacity of the existing 10-seater gondola lift.
Montenegro: expansion of Kolašin
Two new surface lifts improve the connection.
Kolašin plans to become the largest skiing area in southern Europe (up to 250 kilometres of slopes) through further expansion and mergers with other skiing areas.
Greece: Chelmos
CD6 “Styga” replaces a 2-seater chairlift.
475 metres of altitude gain in just five minutes.
Capacity: 1,500 passengers per hour.
With these projects, LEITNER is once again focusing on sustainable, high-performance, and future-oriented ropeway technologies that further optimise winter sports in Europe.
