The quality management system

Quality

In 1994, the LEITNER group introduced a quality management system that complies fully with the international standard ISO 9001 and is certified by SQS. This quality management system includes continuous monitoring of our business processes. All internal processes are customer-oriented and targeted at an enhanced product, from the development stage to after-sales customer care. Continuous improvements in terms of products, customer care and the working conditions of our employees, plus a strong focus on ecological awareness, have always been the goals of quality management of the LEITNER group. In terms of engineering, special attention is paid to the critical welding process, which is of great importance for the quality of the product. This process has received special certification pursuant to the international ISO standard 3834-2.

Numerous products and components have been certified to international and European standards and directives. Of greatest importance in this respect are the European Machinery Directive, the European Ropeway Directive and the European Steel Structure Directive. By achieving certification to ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety assessment Systems), LEITNER has gone well beyond the legal requirements and has introduced a system that will enable annual improvements in health and safety at work to be planned and implemented. Certification to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 has transformed the management system into an Integrated Management System (IMS).

On 20.10.2005, with updates in 2010 and 2013, LEITNER introduced its own organizational and administrative model in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 231/01. This concerns the administrative liability of companies to avoid certain offenses and to reduce the risk of committing an offense. The codes of conduct contained in the organizational and management model are supplemented by the code of ethics introduced by the company, creating a comprehensive volume of internal regulations designed to disseminate the culture of ethically correct conduct and transparency within the company.

During 2014, the production sites of LEITNER were certified according to the European steel construction standard EN 1090. This standard has been mandatory since July 2014 for all companies manufacturing components with load-bearing properties. This certification provides independent third-party confirmation of LEITNER' compliance with strict safety, quality and reliability requirements.
