The Alpe di Siusi is the largest alpine pasture in Europe and the only one located in the Dolomites massif. For many years, the Alpe di Siusi has been a destination for countless people in search of tranquility, which until 2003 brought with it a major downside: the avalanche of cars going up the narrow mountain road every day and the associated noise, exhaust fumes and damage to the environment. Thanks to the bicable gondola lift, the traffic now remains down in the valley and the original nature of the Alpe di Siusi has been restored.
