With its ranging forests, the Slovenian resort in the Upper Sava Valley is one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Alps. Its exceptional climatic and geographical location near to the Wurzen Pass and the border with Carinthia and Italy makes Kranjska Gora an attractive destination for local visitors as well as tourists from Austria and Italy.
The area’s ropeways and ski slopes extend along the slopes of Vitranc, from Kranjska Gora to Planica, at an altitude of 800 m to 1215 m.
This well-known World Cup venue has opted for top-level modernization à la LEITNER by building the new Vitranc 2 4-seater chairlift. The new ropeway replaces a fixed grip 1-seater chairlift built in 1981 and follows the existing route.
