GD10 Airelles Express

The new “Airelles Express” 10-passenger gondola lift has provided a major quality upgrade at Font-Romeu in France. This modern ropeway replaces a 6-passenger gondola lift running along the feeder route to the ski resort’s 58 kilometers of slopes. The new ropeway offers much more comfort and, because it almost doubles capacity, eliminates long queues of people waiting to ascend. Equipped with LEITNER DirectDrive and 40 Diamond Evo cabins with panoramic doors, the ropeway carries up to 2,400 passengers per hour up and down a slope of more than 1,700 meters at a speed of 6 m/s. The bottom station achieves a compact design by incorporating two parking lines in its garage.
