GD10 Plose 1+2

The completion of a 26 million euro project in the Bressanone-Plose region brings modern, ecofriendly, innovative quality transport. The new “Plose” 10-passenger gondola lift, which has been built along the existing ropeway route, consists of two sections. Its 78 Diamond EVO cabins can carry up to 2,400 people per hour. Special attention was given to creating a simple solution for carrying bikes and mountain carts. Unlike before, sports equipment is now carried on the outside and bottom of the cabins instead of inside. A fully automated mountain cart loading and unloading system at the bottom and top stations is a world first. Some of these processes are entirely underground, so they don’t obstruct passengers getting in and out. This sophisticated system for transporting sports equipment also features the new LEITNER bike holders, which allow bikes to be easily attached to either side of every other cabin. The holders can fold away after use, which means they don’t affect spacing between the vehicles in the garage.
