GD8 Ordu-Boztepe

The city of Ordu is one of the most important commercial centers in Turkey, and the largest producer of hazelnuts in the world. The bottom station for the ropeway is located right on the beach. Since summer 2011, an 8-person ropeway has been alleviating the traffic on the streets. The gondola lift is remarkable not only for its amorphous station buildings; its technical sophistication is also displayed in the unique span length of 900 meters. The new ropeway runs from the beach and city district to the local recreation area of Boztepe, which is situated 300 meters higher up.
