The Alta Badia ski region, one of the top regions in the Alps for many years running, has a long-standing partnership with LEITNER, as evidenced by the numerous ropeways it has built in recent decades. Andy Varallo has been chairman of the consortium for 15 years, working closely all the while with LEITNER: "Together we have achieved very important goals that have brought us to the top of the winter sports market," explains Varallo who notes that finding the best solution for every ropeway requires teamwork.
After studying business administration, Varallo joined the Skicarosello Corvara Consortium along with his grandfather. Erich Kostner was a founding member of the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel and thus a pioneer of South Tyrolean winter tourism. Andy Varallo's professional hobby is the Alpine Ski World Cup. His father, the former downhill skier Marcello Varallo, was Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Ski World Cup in Alta Badia for 32 years. Since 2018, Andy Varallo is chairman of the Alpine Ski World Cup Alta Badia.
Alta Badia is part of the Dolomiti Superski skiing network and is well known as a ski resort for connoisseurs. The area is surrounded by the majestic Dolomites, which are impressively featured along with Andy Varallo in the video.
