Detachable gondola lifts are monocable systems in which the vehicles are detached from the hauling and carring cable in the stations. The entry and exit areas of the gondola platform are traversed at lower speeds, enabling passengers to easily enter and leave the cabins. The entire system provides a very high transport capacity. Thanks to the design work by Pininfarina, the cabins are visually very appealing. LEITNER monocable gondolas are not just for winter use. Many systems in operation today transport passengers in a variety of different settings. The generous use of glazing ensures unrestricted, panoramic views. Additional customization is available through a wide choice of options, including seat heating, ski racks, hinged windows on all sides, ventilation systems, individual choice of finish inside and out, and a wide range of colors for the floor and for the seat and backrest materials.
Simple and intelligent design engineering is the key to ultimate reliability. In the neutral position the grip is closed. There is no dead center to be overcome. In addition, grip force remains constant even when rope diameter changes. In addition, a safety system developed by LEITNER and certified to CE standard ensures the secure clamping of the grip before leaving the station.
