LEITNER surface lifts are ropeway systems specifically used on beginner slopes or to cross shorter segments. Their reliability is based on decades of experience collected during the construction of 2,500 systems around the world. As a worldwide supplier, LEITNER always follows the strict European safety regulations. This is why surface lift technology has been continuously developed and improved in recent years with refined details.
Drive output is in the 45 - 160 kW range, with asynchronous motors for low-noise, maintenance-free operation and variable speeds. Haul rope tension is generated via a hydraulic cylinder located over the main and drive frames. The new stations also incorporate LEITNER’s own electrical control system. The stations are a highly compact design with meaningful advantages in terms of fast and easy installation and a small footprint. All operations have been greatly simplified for a high level of safety and reliability on the one hand and an enhanced user-friendly design on the other. That also includes safe and simple maintenance of the transmission without the need to release the tension in the rope. For maximum operating safety, there is a backstop on the bullwheel. The return terminal also features a central steel upright support for the bullwheel and a cross-arm for the incoming sheave train. All parts are galvanized. The design is in full compliance with the provisions of the current EU Cableway Directive.
The T20 and T30 are mini-station designs that ski schools often require for their children’s courses. With minimal installation requirements, hydraulic tensioning and a planetary gearbox, they represent an efficient, user-friendly and highly cost-effective solution.
This solution avoids internal friction and guarantees optimum reliability with regard to grip force. For the operator, one advantage of the new state-of-the-art grip is that grip relocation or even removal can be performed quickly and easily without the risk of disturbing the grip force setting. This is because the nut on the moving jaw remains closed. Finally, new and more modern grip tongues ensure smooth passage through the depression and combination sheave assemblies.
The towing unit boasts an eddy-current brake and is impervious to weather conditions: passengers are guaranteed a gentle approach. The platter is pulled in gently and evenly by the eddy-current brake. The design of the unit is also extremely simple, making it very maintenance-friendly.
