The new “Bérangère” 6-seater chairlift provides 50% more capacity, greater comfort, and greater operating efficiency at one of the main transport axes in the Chamrousse resort. This was where contests were held during the 1968 Winter Olympics at Grenoble, and it boasts over 90 kilometers of slopes, which include impressive viewpoints looking out over the Vald’Isère and the cliffs of the Chartreuse Mountains opposite. The LEITNER ropeway, which was built to replace the “Bérangère” 4-seater chairlift, is powered by a resource-saving LEITNER DirectDrive and has an additional parking line for garaging at the bottom station. Up to 3,000 passengers per hour can be carried in a total of 88 chairs over a distance of more than 1,700 meters.
