GD10 Dub Kuk

In Kotor in summer 2023, LEITNER completed an extraordinary technological feat which is unique in the way it is built and the way it works: a 3.9 km long 10-passenger gondola lift, which ascends 1,316 meters from the sea to the mountain, providing sustainable mobility between Kotor and Lovćen National Park. The GD10 Dub Kuk’s 40 Diamond EVO cabins are fully glazed, equipped with wooden chairs and night time lighting, and able to transport 1,000 passengers per hour. They sail up to the top in just eleven minutes, escaping traffic congestion on the busy access road below. Not only is it a much quicker and more comfortable way to get there; it also significantly reduces carbon emissions. This unusual gondola lift provides a sustainable transport solution coupled with a unique experience which showcases the beauty of the region. It’s an example of best practice and is designed as an inspiration for other regions that would like to install pioneering mobility solutions like LEITNER’s.
