GD10 Wilde Krimml

The operators of the family-friendly Zillertal Arena ski resort have invested in a comfortable modern ropeway made by LEITNER. The “Wilde Krimml” 10-passenger gondola lift provides a direct link between Zell and Gerlos, and does so without the middle station which the previous chairlift needed. Fitted with LEITNER DirectDrive and Diamond EVO cabins, the ropeway offers lots of space and heated chairs, making for a comfortable ride from Krimmalm up to the Übergangsjoch for up to 2,400 passengers per hour. One of this ropeway’s special features is its integrated evacuation function, which raises its availability level to such an extent that a separate rescue line is no longer needed. It incorporates not only the latest ropeway technology, but also a strong architectural dimension developed in collaboration with world-renowned architects Snøhetta.
